XBOX ONE CONTROLLER PREVIEW

I was first shocked through the Nintendo’s introduction with the Wiimote. Stunned by Sony’s Eyetoy and played some really competitive matches on Kinect Sports. Though what are the core gamers want is just your standard controller. We don’t need motion controls to learn games; we demand we have something within our hand with thumbsticks and triggers. There won’t be Major League Gaming tournaments for Wii Sports, right?

Now that I’m at E3 I needed to obtain a controller through the next-gen of consoles. The first I managed to get to play with will be the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t had a perfect background with controllers- anyone can remember the Duke controller from your original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is a lot more Xbox 360 system then a Duke. The first thing you will find could it be looks a bit bit bigger a 360 controller. It’s only a fantasy; if something it felt more at ease and comfortable within my hands compared to the previous one ever did.

What is important for me they absolutely was required to strengthen was the D-Pad. The directional pad around the Xbox 360 was unresponsive, clunky and just a large number. On the Xbox One’s version, it’s sleek (in a good way), fast and yes it makes a delightful click whenever you apply pressure about the pad. I’m curious to see how well a fighting game can play with this particular new controller.

Call of Duty and Halo include the Xbox’s most popular games; they’re both shooters and you also constantly must take both analog sticks. So was there ways to improve the already great analog sticks in the 360? It sure seems like they did. The analog sticks felt sensational looking sturdy and appeared to be quite accurate. Dare I only say console gaming is getting more detailed the accurate feeling of a mouse with a computer?

Another issue I had using the Xbox 360 gamepad could be the Xbox Guide button. It’s found in the top middle area of the controller and you’ll accidentally hit it. Microsoft thought we would help it become flat (and thus harder to push unintentionally) and place it at the summit with the controller. It was an intelligent position for the button and I can’t locate many people hitting it in the center of gameplay.

Combined with the other various upgrades created from the Xbox 360 controller, the triggers got a bit of love as well, with rumble added to each. This sounds absurd however when you are attempting it by yourself, you’ll commence to wonder why we didn’t have this before. When I was playing Forza 5, I became power sliding in to a sharp turn and you can feel the tires squeal throughout the pavement over the trigger rumbles. It was subtle and combined with the immersive feeling.

There are just certain things I’d complaints about, especially the left and right bumpers. They appear to possess made them considerably bigger and while playing Crimson Dragon they didn’t exactly feel great while i experimented with barrel reveal of how of projectiles. This can also be an issue with the game however the buttons themselves were just okay. That is no means a significant issue that i’m sure it is going to take a while getting used to.
